Africonnect is a travel marketplace at africonnect.io. We connect travelers with verified local guides and tour operators in Zambia, Uganda, Rwanda, Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, and Tanzania.
If a listing is on Africonnect, we have spoken to the person who runs it. You message that person directly.
Online checkout is still in development. Every listing is a real, verified operator. To enquire, use the contact route on the listing, WhatsApp, or adam.k.renoux@gmail.com.
No. Other businesses use similar names — including a trade app, a UK IT firm, a former Zambian internet provider, and other travel brands. We are africonnect.io, a marketplace for local African tour operators.
Not yet. Checkout is in development. Listings, photos, and operator profiles are real. Use the listing contact, WhatsApp, or adam.k.renoux@gmail.com and we will connect you with the operator. When checkout goes live, you will pay the listed price in full through Paystack, with no extra booking fee added at payment.
Live, verified operators today:
Zambia — Livingstone and Victoria Falls, Lower Zambezi, South Luangwa, Lusaka
Uganda — Kampala, Fort Portal, and birding including Mabamba
Rwanda — Kigali, including primate trekking
Botswana — Maun
Tanzania, including the Usambara Mountains (Lushoto and Amani) and other Tanzanian operators on the platform. We are partnered with the Usambara Local Tour Guides Association (72 registered guides) and listings are already live while more guides onboard.
Kenya — Nairobi, with more operators being added.
We do not yet have verified operators in Serengeti, Zanzibar, South Africa, Zimbabwe, or Mozambique. See Where we operate.
Every operator is verified before their listing goes live. We speak to the person who runs the business, then their experiences appear on the site.
The price on a listing is the full price. There are no extra platform fees added at checkout. Africonnect's commission is 20%, published on How payment works. You pay in US dollars through Paystack when checkout is open. Until then, enquire with the operator through Africonnect.
You get the operator's direct contact before you travel. You are talking to the person who will guide you, not a call centre. The full deposit, payout, and cancellation rules are on How payment works.
Large international platforms and hotel tour desks often sit between you and the guide. Your money can pass through two or three intermediaries. On Africonnect you enquire — and later book — with a named local operator. Our commission is 20% and published.
If you want a named local operator we have spoken to, start on experiences or where we operate.

Yes. Every listing has a direct contact route. Ask about season, fitness, group size, and what is included. Guides on this platform would rather answer that before you arrive.
Listing is free. No monthly fee. Commission is only charged when a booking happens, and the rate is published. Start at List your business.
